Happy Mother's Day

Mother's Day is a celebration that honors motherhood and maternal bonds in family. It celebrates family, love, childhood and motherhood.

This Mother's Day, I was rummaging through some of my older school projects and I found an essay from my 5th grade class that I thought to be especially suited to this day of celebration. I had sought to honor my Grandparents and my 5th grade teacher Mrs. Gulloti in my original essay. Mrs. Gulloti was like a nuclear bomb of energy in the class, always inspiring her students.

Although my Grandparents are not here with me today for this Mother's day celebration, I would still want them to know how much I love and miss them each and every day.

The funny thing is that each and every thing I wrote in my essay five years ago is still as applicable today as it was then. My Grandparents and I still speak and bond over the same things even today from 10,000 miles away.

Wishing all of my readers a very Happy Mother's Day!
